As a fairly experienced boater I was confident that I could manage selling and buying my next boat on my own, however I decided to give Export a try because the boat I was selling was located in the Keys and I just didn’t have time to deal with running back and forth dealing with tire kickers. Mike was able to find a cash buyer within a week which is rare and quickly resolve the many negotiations that ensued. The biggest surprise came when we were searching for a new boat. I was convinced that I needed a hardcore fishing boat and Mike found us a very lightly used 370 Intrepid set up for fishing and cruising which suited the whole family’s needs and turned out to be a smart move. He saved me a huge amount of depreciation. Handled the entire deal through Intrepid to transfer tax savings on the old boat for myself and the seller. Throughout the process Mike was available to deal with the many questions that came up and was a great source of advice based on his many years of experience on the water.

I just closed on a boat with Mike Bill and his team at Export Yacht & Ship. I told him what I wanted in a boat, and he gave me a few options, including the perfect boat for me, 35 Contender. He helped negotiate the price, and once we had a deal, he handled all the details of the sea trial, haul out, and survey, all while keeping me in the loop. Hey Mike, I hope boat sales are brisk for you over there. I checked in with Eddie yesterday to see how he was doing with his 24′ Everglades which was purchased through your brokerage. I know when I talked to him some time ago he was rather upset about the damage that occurred to the boat while it was in your yard awaiting shipping. This was his response to me regarding your handling of the damage/repair to the boat: “The boat was repaired and Mike sent me a check to cover repairs. He is a classy guy to do that and he made sure I got the cushions and console cover and trolling motor.” Mike I nearly cried, as this is not how deals usually turn out. Previous two dealings with brokers over there did not have this happy ending and in fact left a bitter taste in my customers’ mouths. So, you obvsiously had good parenting or something. Let me know if I can do anything for you over here.

This past summer my husband and I decided it was time to sell our Morgan Ketch. The process seemed complicated since we have kept the boat full time in Abaco, Bahamas for the past 8 years and saw little way of networking her into the US market.

My boat arrived safely in Maputo, Mozambique. It is very good and clean. I was impressed with how light it is on fuel. While there are imitation boats from South Africa, people are admiring the fittings, knobs, lockers, etc. All people admire the boat in my club, and some are asking about your reference. I think is first American boat in Maputo. I told them about Export Yacht Sales and you should be sending more boats here soon.
